Privacy
Your trust is not a commodity.
This practice exists because technology should serve human dignity. That conviction extends to how your information is handled: it is never sold, rented, traded, or referred to anyone else.
Our commitment
Information you share with this practice — through an inquiry, a book order, a speaking or advisory engagement, or any correspondence — belongs to you. We use it for one purpose only: to serve you well. It is never sold, rented, licensed, or disclosed to third parties for marketing, advertising, resale, or referral. We do not participate in data brokerage of any kind, and we never will.
What we collect
We collect only what a given interaction requires, and nothing more:
- Inquiries. Your name, email, organization, area of interest, and your message — so we can respond to you.
- Orders and deposits. Your name, email, and (for book shipments) your shipping address — so we can process the order, email your receipt, and ship your books.
- Payment details. Card numbers are handled entirely by our payment processor and are never visible to or stored by this website.
How your information is used
We use your information to respond to your message, fulfill and confirm orders, schedule and prepare engagements, and keep the business records required of us. We do not add you to a mailing list, send marketing you did not ask for, or build profiles about you. If you have purchased from us, we may email you about your order or your engagement — and only that.
The only sharing we ever do
Two essential service providers receive the minimum information necessary to do their job: our payment processor (to charge your card and issue your receipt) and our email delivery provider (to deliver confirmations you have asked for). Neither is permitted to use your information for anything else. Apart from them, your information leaves this practice in exactly one situation: when the law compels it — and then only to the extent required.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no behavioral profiling. We keep site measurement to the minimum needed to know the site works.
How your information is protected
Data is stored with an encrypted, access-controlled backend. Access is limited to Dr. Washington and the administrative work of the practice. Payment transactions run over secure, encrypted connections through our payment processor.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and order records only as long as they are useful for serving you and as long as tax and business law requires, then they are deleted. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time, and we will honor the request unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
At any time you may ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. If a change would materially affect how your information is used, we will not apply it retroactively.
